Covid-19 Update: (July 15, 2022)
Due to the combination of the high transmission rate of Covid-19 in Douglas County, as well as the evolving nature of the BA.5 Virus, starting Sunday, we are going back to high precaution protocols on campus:
Masks are required on campus for worship, distancing is welcomed. We encourage worshipers who come on campus to limit in person fellowship after worship.
Thank you for doing your part in helping to keep each other safe because here at Golden, we love caring for you!
In light of the shifting dynamics with the Covid19 virus, our Worship Team and Pastor King thanks you for observing the following updated guidelines while on campus: pre-registering you and your family for worship, wearing masks at all times unless you are leading in worship, social distancing, receiving the vaccine and booster shots as well if you are immuno-compromised. This makes sure we can stay on campus because we care for everybody, because everybody is someone special! PRE-REGISTER your attendance by emailing (admin@goldenmemorialumc.org) or calling (770.942.3344) the church by Thursday at 4:00 pm.
Golden’s Way Forward For Health and Safety During Covid19 – Greetings Beautiful People of Golden! As you are aware, we are seeing the COVID-19 virus continue to bring harm, death and chaos to our country and locally right here in Douglas County. Since our county is now in the red, our church leadership and I want to offer you our plans and protocol for how we can stay safe together in this time. Here at Golden,
we are a loving, Christlike church for all nations. Since we’ve experienced the love of Jesus, we love caring for each other as we grow more like Jesus together, in our worship, our fellowship and our service. One of the ways we love one another is by putting each other people’s health and wellness above our own individual self-interests. In other words, let’s be well by caring for our bodies because everybody is somebody special. In order to care for everybody and stay together safely, here are our guidelines at Golden:
- We are requiring all persons who come on campus on Sundays and during the week to wear masks. If someone does not have a mask, they will be offered a mask by one of our ministry volunteers. If you or someone you know is not comfortable wearing masks, we invite you to join us for our worship and other experiences online on YouTube, Facebook and our website or join us by listening via radio in the Parking Lot.
We will be using social distancing to keep our congregation safe inside our sanctuary.
- Please know that we have limited seating in the sanctuary on campus. We strongly encourage you to pre-register your attendance by emailing (admin@goldenmemorialumc.org) or calling (770.942.3344) the church by Thursday at 4:00PM at the latest. If our capacity is reached when you arrive because you did not pre-register, don’t worry! You will be invited to join us online.
- We know how much we enjoy sharing Christlike love through physical expressions like hugging and handshaking, but we ask that you refrain from hugging and handshaking during this time so all of us can be safe together.
